Cookie policy
Last updated 22 September 2026. This explains the browser storage Trade Sidekick uses.
What browser storage means
Cookies are small text files stored by a browser. Trade Sidekick also uses local and session storage, which perform similar jobs on your device. This policy covers each of them.
Strictly necessary storage
Authentication storage keeps you signed in, refreshes your secure session and helps protect account access. It remains until you sign out, the session expires or you clear it. Temporary session values prevent duplicate actions and safely carry a team invitation through sign-in; they normally disappear when the browser session ends.
Preferences
The sidebar_state cookie remembers whether the app menu is open for seven days. Local storage remembers your UK or US pricing choice and device-specific app preferences until you change them or clear browser data. These choices provide functions you request and do not track you across unrelated websites.
Payments and connected services
If you choose Google sign-in, Stripe checkout or the Stripe billing portal, that provider may set its own cookies or browser storage to authenticate you, prevent fraud and complete the requested interaction. Its own privacy and cookie policy applies on its website.
Analytics and advertising
Trade Sidekick does not currently use third-party advertising cookies or non-essential marketing or analytics cookies. We will ask for any consent required before introducing non-essential tracking and will update this policy.
Your controls
You can delete or block cookies and site data in your browser settings. Blocking authentication or other strictly necessary storage may prevent sign-in, billing, invitations or parts of the app from working. You can reset saved preferences by clearing site data.
